Under the motto COURAGE! the short film festival VIS Vienna Shorts has been on the lookout for positive visions for the future and social utopias from which strong communities and a sense of collaboration can develop without having to fall back on simplistic or corrosive concepts.
At 2 pm the Motovun Film Festival from Croatia will present the programme WHO CRUSHED MRS. MOON, at 4 pm the OFF Odense Film Festival from Denmark will present the program AGAINST THE TIDE. At 8 pm the triangular cooperation will be concluded with the Viennese programme UTOPIAS ARE FOR REALISTS. The British curator Tom Grimshaw will finally take a bizarre historical look at the topic at 10 pm under the title A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.
For friends of animation there will also be the talk format MEET THE ARTISTS at 11.30 am, in which Michael Frei (CH) and Sophie Koko Gate (UK) will give an insight into their most recent works. And last but not least, we take the liberty to advertise the program for the AUSTRIAN MUSIC VIDEO AWARD, which can be experienced at 6 pm under the title WE'RE TAKING THE LIBERTY in the presence of numerous artists.
