The Save Soil Movement and Burg Kino Vienna are presenting the film Common Ground.
The documentary aims to raise awareness of soil degradation and demonstrate how we can be
part of the solution. If we act now, we can preserve soil health for future generations and thus
ensure food security, ecological balance, and a sustainable planet.
Our soil - and thus our livelihood - is threatened with extinction! 52% of the world's agricultural land is already degraded. By 2050, due to the soil crisis, we are expected to have 40% less food available for 9.3 billion people.
The goal of the Save the Soil movement is to unite people from all over the world to raise awareness of the importance of soil health and to support leaders in all nations in implementing measures to increase the organic content of agricultural soils.
